1959 Tweed Bassman AmplifierThe Tweed Bassman (5F6A circuit, class AB, fixed biased) was produced from 1958 to 1960. Powerful with 45 Watts of pure sonic pleasure. The striped airplane luggage linen (Tweed for short) covered amplifier is everyone's favorite, "the ONE" to have. The Bassman is considered by most (50's and 60's Rock legends) to be the best guitar amplifier ever made (after all Jim Marshall was heavily influenced by it when building his legendary amplifiers like the JTM 45), although it was built, as its name indicates for bass players. The Bassman is the perfect companion for small clubs and larger venues. Buddy Guy still plays a Bassman when on tour. | ||||||||
